These terms cover your use of cynth6.com and of CYNTH6 software, including Alpha50. CYNTH6 is a business based in Pennsylvania, USA. By using the site, starting a day pass or buying a licence, you agree to these terms.
Who you are buying from
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payments, invoices, sales tax and refunds. For help with Alpha50 itself, email support@cynth6.com.
Your licence
- When you buy Alpha50 you get a personal, lifetime licence to use it. You are buying a licence to use the software, not the software itself.
- Your licence key is for you. Don't share it, resell it or publish it.
- All 1.x updates are free. Big new releases may come with an upgrade fee.
- Don't copy, redistribute, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the software, or try to get around the licence check.
Free day pass
The free day pass lets you try Alpha50 on cynth6.com for 24 hours. It starts when you enter your email address and ends automatically. It needs an internet connection, and some features may be limited or not included.
Requirements
Alpha50 needs desktop Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge (latest version) on Mac or Windows. Safari, Firefox, phones and tablets are not supported. It also needs a MIDI interface and MIDI cables in both directions to your Roland Alpha Juno or MKS-50, with MIDI Exclusive turned on. The free day pass is a good way to confirm your connection works before you buy. Because the day pass runs partly online, timing during the day pass may be looser than in the app you buy.
Your sounds and your synth
Alpha50 is designed to be the main way you manage sounds on your synth. Using it alongside other tools or the synth's own panel could cause sounds to be overwritten. Keep backups of sounds you care about. We are not responsible for lost sounds or data.
No warranty
The software is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't promise it will be error-free or work with every setup.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, CYNTH6's total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the software.

Roland, Alpha Juno and MKS-50 are trademarks of Roland Corporation. CYNTH6 is not affiliated with or endorsed by Roland. CYNTH6 and Alpha50 are trademarks of CYNTH6.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA.
